The third PBR Bull Team competition of the season took place in St. Louis and the horns and hooves were flying. Seven teams brought a total of 35 great bulls to the three-day event in Missouri, and on February 24 it was Yankton Express who laid claim to the $20,000 first place prize.

“I was real happy — it was some of the toughest competition there is in the teams,” said Chad Berger of his team's victory. “We were lucky enough to come up first. You have to feel good when you are up against guys like the Pages, the Heberts and Jerry Nelson.”

Copperhead Slinger, Bad Action and Cooper were Yankton Express’ heavy hitters, earnings 46.25, 45.75 and 45.5 respectively. Rounding out the team were Sir Patrick (44.25) and Mean Machine (43.75).

The second-place Big Machine Records (the label Jewel is on with her country album) had its highest score courtesy of Cat Man Do (#10 Bucking Bulls/Hart Cattle Co.) with a 45.25. Hebert's Gnash added another 45 to the team's total. The rest of the team (all Hebert bulls), were extremely solid and turned in strong performances that added up to $10,000 for the company.

The Berger/Ryken/Rosen team beat out Big Machine by three points, Paige/Haines was third and the other

Berger/Ryken/Rosen (Vikings) team was just a quarter-point behind for fourth. Rounding out the terrific field was Ron White's Comedy Tour with 217.5, Nafzger with a 216.75 and Red Horns with 210.25.

Nafzger once again had a designated hitter in Robinson/Tedesco/Larry the Cable Guy's Chicken On A Chain who earned a 47, the highest-marked bull score of the event. Chicken took Renato Nunes to victory in the short go when the young Brazilian made it to the whistle for a 95.75 on the 2007 PBR World Champion Bucking Bull. Unfortunately, teammate Red Rooster scratched when he had a trip worth 37.75, scoring his cowboy a reride.

The Red Horns team is comprised of bulls from some of the PBR's top contractors, including Page & Teague, Berger Bucking Bulls, C&G, McCoy Ranches and John & Lacey Berger/Clay Struve.

Bells Blue had an uncharacteristic “off” day and scored just a 35.5, which hurt the Red Horns overall score.
This was the second team event for Big Machine and Nafzger. Both competed at Winston-Salem where Nafzger was second and Big Machine was third.
