The one-day PBR Bull Team Challenge event in San Antonio may have been short, but for Boyd-FloydBullCo.com it was super-sweet. Their score of 224.5 was the highest average team score to date (Lone Star scored 224 in Albuquerque) and put $20,000 in their pocket.

“We were very pleased. We finally broke the eggshell. We had some bad luck this year and we finally got over the hump,” shared Brad Boyd. “Toby and I are very happy when we can win a Bull Team event! We had a great team: Zorro and Red Chester of XS, and the bulls we own did a great job too and pulled through for us.”

Every bull on their team posted outstanding numbers. Boyd-FloydBullCo.com's lowest score was a 44 (Zorro) and the highest was a 45.75 for Hot Pistol. In the middle were Lightning McQueen with 44.5, Red Chester with 44.75 and Camo with 45.5.

D&H/Enlow/Gilbert had a combined score of 223.5, a number that would have been enough to win anywhere else. In Texa,s however, it was only good enough for second. Silver Wings and Ricky Bobby each earned a 45.25 to give the team their reserve champion status and $10,000. Another great team stocked with Page bulls earned third at the event. Page/Haines had a score of 220.5 thanks in part to Hot Stuff who continues to smoke, receiving a mark of 45.25 from the judges. Grey Dog did his part by scoring a 44.75.

ExclusiveGenetics.com finished fourth. Leprechaun earned a 44.25, but his teammates scores weren't high enough to earn Exclusive any green. Red Carpet had a 43.5 followed up by Blizzard with a 42.5, Boston's Best Bet with a 41.25 and Fire and Flame with a 41.5.

Since San Antonio was just a one-day Built Ford Tough Series event. That factor limited the number of teams who could compete. But, like every BFTS event in Texas, the Lone Star state attracts the best-of-the-best. The team bulls, as well as the other bulls at the events, were outstanding and hailed from some of the best breeders and stock contractors in the business.
